After merging the code from different projects, I can build my own project with GCC for AVR. The first project consumes 12KB ROM and 1K RAM. I believe the RAM size can be reduced after some optimization. However AVR offers big enough memory size than my expectation. Now I am adding the OTA (Over-the-Air) command parser to the project. In this blog, I will talk about compiler issues, software structure.

L'internet embedded è molto diffuso nei più recenti dispositivi elettronici. Il server web embedded e' un tema molto interessante dal momento che questa tecnologia puo' influenzare la tecnologia dell'informazione, tra cui modem, Ethernet, PPP dial-up e browser web; non c'è bisogno di installare alcun software sul "computer client". Molti prodotti elettronici di consumo hanno già installati embedded web servers, da router, switch, internet radio al NAS e IPTV. ARC prevede che nei prossimi cinque anni, IP/Ethernet dominerà tutti i campi collegati tranne la connessione finale al livello più basso, sensori e attuatori. Oltre a tftp e telnet, il server web embedded è la tecnologia più comune utilizzata nei dispositivi di consumo e nei dispositivi elettronici industriali, in particolare per i sistemi classici "head-less", che hanno display limitato o non lo hanno per niente.

The embedded internet is very common in latest electronics devices. The embedded web server used to be a hot topic since this technology can leverage common information technology infrastructure, including modem, Ethernet, PPP dial-up and web browser; there is no need to install any software on client computers. A lot of consumer electronics have already installed with embedded web servers, from router, switch, internet radio to NAS and IPTV. In the industrial field device market, ARC predicts that over the next five years, IP/Ethernet will dominate all field connections except for the final connection to the lowest level sensors and actuators. Besides to tftp and telnet, embedded web server is the most common technology used in both consumer and industrial electronics devices, especially for the classic "head-less" embedded systems, which has limited or no display at all.

For those of you lucky enough to have attended CeBIT2008 this past March in Hanover, you might have seen another series of GPS devices debut: the next two additions to the GPS lineup for Navigon Max series: 2100 and 2120.

Per tutti quelli che hanno avuto la fortuna di essere a CeBIT2008 lo scorso Marzo in Hanover, potrebbero aver visto un'altra serie di dispositivi GPS: due nuovi elementi aggiunti per i navigatori GPS della serie MAX dalla Navigon:2100 e 2120.
