I introduce a new Reference Project realized with a Renesas M16C microcontroller.

We are talking about a Remote Console able to visualize the informations from the serial, managed from keyboard.
Optimal in order to realize a SMS visual display unit on PC (as IperSMS)

Interesting for who wants to experiment with the micro Renesas M16C (16bit), in particular are available the routines in C for the keyboard, display and serial management

Capacitive Keypad 16 KEYs
Inserted new plan, realized for being placed to edge monitor of a PC and therefore to command 16 access keys. The keyboard is to passing inserted in a buttonhole of the wood of the case of the monitor. Succeeding varies test has been carries out with distance to 1Cm (between finger and keyboard) considering like dielectric the wood interstice.
The KEYs are realized directly on the PCB.

1.The target

How many times using a device you are thinking: How nice it would be to have more informations about the led that has 527 colors or it flashes in 6432 various ways but all equal ones. How many applications today are using a GSM module? Remote controls, remote activation commands etc. but thinking again why not to use it for sending and receiving SMS?
