Controlling an Inverted Pendulum with a Microchip Microcontroller

Controlling an inverted pendulum using a Microchip microcontroller was possible at a University in Switzerland. The FLEX Base Board (hosting a Microchip dsPIC - see the Datasheet) and the FLEX Multibus Board with a CAN module were used for swinging-up and maintaining the inverted equilibrium. The Source code was entirely generated using Scilab/Scicos , an automatic code generator for control systems.

FLEX: Microchip dsPIC evaluation board - Modular Board for embedded applications

FLEX is an embedded board which can be used by all the developers who want to fully exploit the potential of the latest Microchip micro-controllers: the dsPIC DSC family.
FLEX is born as a development board where to easily develop and test real-time applications for the Microchip dsPIC DSC micro-controller.

Sending e-mail with the PICmicro

Do you want to receive an automatic e-mail when is verified an event from any remote site?
Sending the e-mails with the PIC is simple and efficient thanks to FTPmicro and the new version stack 4.11 by Microchip.
In this example, we want to use the new TCP/IP stack functionalities to permit to FTPMicro to send an e-mail to verify an event.

Allow to construct a network for the domestic use with the devices for an easy availability and cheap for whichever hobbista. The idea is born after long search in Internet in order to find something from which leaving in order to make to communicate dispositive small you ( possible the arcinoti PIC) between them in sure and above all economic simple way.
As I thought I have found many ideas but nothing concrete to construct, so I have decided to put together the ideas and indications hardware and software found, to construct one small net.
