Hello, my name is Robert DeOliveira. I’m the IAR Systems Global Account Manager. I’m here to talk to you today about IAR, what we do and what solutions we provide for Freescale controller continuum.

IAR systems was founded in Uppsala, Sweden in 1983. We were one of the first companies that developed the C compiler for the ColdFire architecture. Since then we have grown to become a global organization with offices in 6 countries, North America, Brazil, China and some of the countries in Europe and distribution infrastructure in 25 countries. We have grown our portfolio which has been the C and C ++ compiler and debugger to support 35 different microcontrollers. What’s our participation in the Freescale controller continuum? We have realized that in the 32 bit market, developers are demanding more than C and C++ compiler and debugger. So we have established relationships with our third party RTOS and midware vendors and leveraged those strategic alliances to build our own portfolio of bar clauses and MIDWARE components for controller continuum.

What that means is whether the customer wants to use our own set of tools, the third party tools which is the RTOS and the midware or from our third party vendors; they have the freedom to use. One of the nicest features that our IAR offers for the Flexis continuum controller is the ability to debug and prototype your code in a very nice sys 5 window application that resides within the IDE. So today our core product which is C, C++ compilers, debuggers and RTOS mirror components has also evolved to include EOMLs, big machine design tool called visualSTATE. So we sometimes call it a yellow suite as you may be able to read on our website. But what that is we have a fully completed integrated solution that includes compiler debuggers, EOMLs, big machine tools, RTOS protocol stacks that allow our developers to work on any type of demanding kind of products or as low profile projects as well. Our prices are very competitive. We have fantastic support. We work through the distribution and I think with that we feel that we are very well equipped to support Freescale controller continuum in the next years.
