In a situation of global crisis even Google is suffering the recession and has decided to eliminate the "withered branches", that is those on line services (networks, web sites etc.) that did not give the wanted results due to or wrong decisions or other reasons. Even six are the on line services that will be eliminated and the most famous is Google Video: the YouTube success (YouTube was acquired from the same society) has condemned Google Video to death. This acquisition has been, lately, the biggest Google mistake. It is destined to die Jaiku, born to oppose Twitter, but remained at "beta" version; Dodgeball (social network acquired in 2005); NoteBook that allowed to take notes during the web navigation; Catalog Search and Mashup Editor. But not only Google has decided to eliminate the useless or infertile on line services, also Yahoo has decide to eliminate some of them, starting from Content Match in Europe: it had to be the answer to Google Adsense.
