ARM: Starter Kits & OEM Modules
Submitted by allankliu on November 20, 2008.

Starter Kit is very useful to learn and develop software on ARM. I merged Starter Kit and OEM module information, because all OEM modules supplier will offer corresponding Starter Kit or evaluation board for design startup. |

Embedded Development: ARM and Embedded Processor
Submitted by allankliu on November 13, 2008.

I heard once one guy telling one of his friends : "I'd give my right arm to know what's inside this portable device." He didn't know he was already holding an Arm in his hands.... since ARM designs the technology that lies at the heart of advanced digital products, from wireless, networking and consumer entertainment solutions to imaging, automotive, security and storage devices. Learn more about this embedded processor. |

USB Mass Storage Device
Submitted by allankliu on November 3, 2008.
|
We use the USB mass storage devices everyday, such as USB hard disk, USB stick, USB flash card reader, CD/DVD, mobile devices. Those devices are commonly found in our life, until I got the STM32 evaluation board from a local supplier. |

Timer and Timers
Submitted by allankliu on June 10, 2008.

I was a marketing engineer for Philips microcontroller. To offer training courses for our customers is included in my job description. I still remember a good question from one of my customers. It demonstrates how our universities have misguided our students. The question is how to find extra timers in a complex application while a standard microcontroller usually has only two or three timers? The answer is simple. You have to create the additional timers in software. Yes, software timers. |

STM32 Primer - The Intelligent Butterfly
Submitted by Ionela on May 4, 2008.
|
I first learned of the STM32 Primer at a technical seminar presented by STMicroelectronics. The STM32 Primer is designed to provide a complete toolset for STM32 that is fun and easy to use. Give it a try and learn about the features of the STM32 and the powerful ARM Cortex™-M3 core. |

USB-Stick as development systems
It's the fad of the moment and, we, as designers, do love these Gadgets! But what they are? Are Development Tools in USB Stick format simply toys or are they offering a complete and reliable debug system? |

My first time with... ARM
Submitted by Ionela on March 18, 2008.
|
Does the title confuse you? It's very simple...Take a teacher of literature and put her in the middle of the electronics world. I have landed like this at the ST-NEWS2008 Silverstar Seminar. Maybe you ask yourself what do literature and electronics have in common .... well let me tell you: nothing! But we don't know what life can give us and we must always be ready to change the job and, more importantly, to learn news things! I already attende some seminars, but there we talked about the metaphors or the liaison between the human been and the nature and for sure not about... microcontrollers! Luckily working since 2007 on this web site helped me a lot, so I did not feel like an alien! |
