You do not need to be a physicist to understand the advantages of SSDs (Solid State Disk) compared to the HDs (Hard Disk): no moving parts (no mechanical parts), much less power consumed, very little heat produced, total silence, extremely competitive read/write data amount and, above all, performances that are improved continuously. |

The SSDs (Solid State Disks) are, practically, flash memories. They do not have mechanical parts and, as a consequence, compared to HDs (Hard Disks), they are more robust but have lower capacity. |
