Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) is an international standard for mobile communication. Its promoter, the GSM Association, estimates that 80% of the global mobile market uses this standard.

You only need 3 things to build a gps tracker: gps module A1035D, mobile phone Motorola C168i, microcontroller ATTINY84-20PU... and just a bit of patience.

The idea was born from the knowledge that everyone of us has in the drawer at least one old GSM phone, that, for varied reasons, we do not use! The following application is realized using a PIC microcontroller connected to Ericsson T18 phones, testing the compatibility also with A1018 and T28. But it is not commercialized for reasons of difficult availability of the connectors, instead it can be a lot interesting for hobby use.

I am continuing with the intention to realize a BLOG truly complete on electronics, that would avoid waste of time searching on the net, I understand that is a HEAVY job!

The time that I have is not so long and in order to make a library with project guides (like: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DESIGN(PLAN) TODAY?) it takes a while.
