The purpose of this application note is to offer the designer a set of examples for the read and write functions for using the Microchip SPI serial SRAM.

Microchip launched a family of 8-Kbyte and 32-Kbyte stand-alone serial SRAM devices, which increase a system’s available RAM memory by adding small, inexpensive external devices.

This Application Note provides assistance and guidance with the use of Microchip SPI serial SRAMs. These recommendations are not meant as requirements; however, their adoption will lead to a more robust overall design.
