Introduction to Freescale BDM (Background Debug Mode)
By brumbarchris Dec 24th, 2009
|
The BDM is a special communication interface which is mainly used on Freescale/Motorola processors and microcontrollers. Somewhat (but only somewhat!) similar to the JTAG, the BDM allows for the in-circuit debugging of the target device. It may also be used to access the various types of memories of the microcontrollers and it can also be used for programming. |
