The Microchip Technology Inc. 24AA024/24LC024/ 24AA025/24LC025 is a 2 Kb Serial Electrically Erasable PROM(EEPROM) with a voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V.

UNI/O EEPROM – The Innovative Single I/O EEPROM

unio eeprom i/o

The UNI/O serial EEPROM is a single I/O EEPROM device that has been developed by Microchip. The EEPROM has been developed to work on the UNI/O Bus, a propriety single I/O bus protocol, also developed by Microchip.

Fuss-Free EEPROM Emulation

fuss-free eeprom emulation

The requirement for small-to-medium density data storage crops up in many applications where designers need non-volatile storage of variables which change infrequently, such as calibration parameters,

Now that we have reviewed the different buses, I want to spend some time discussing a few of the UNI/O bus requirements. As you already learned the UNI/O bus uses a single I/O port. But let’s discuss what that means.

Introduction to the UNI/O EEPROM Family Part 1 of 2

As the demand of small electronic devices continues to grow, we saw a need to develop a new family of non volatile serial memory devices that would fit inside of three pins SOT 23 package.

Looking for a Serial EEPROM with Built-in MAC Addresses?

Looking for a Serial EEPROM with Built-in MAC Addresses?

Microchip’s new family of serial EEPROM devices offer built-in EUI-48 and EUI-64 compatible MAC addresses. Designed to work on standard busses, such as SPI, I2C and the UNI/O bus, the devices provide easy and inexpensive access to MAC addresses, and feature up to 1.5 Kb of EEPROM that can be used for storing configuration and user settings, or as a scratch-pad area for buffering small amounts of data.
