The IR3820 is a synchronous buck converter that combines high performance with small size providing a flexible solution in a small 5mmx6mm Power QFN package.

The FAN2108 (datasheet) is a fully integrated, 8A, synchronous Buck converter that drives efficiency over a wide input voltage range (3V to 24V) in set-top boxes, graphic cards and point of load (POL) applications.

This example converts a 12 volt power source to an output of 5 volts with a 2 amp load. Switching frequency is selected at 400 kHz.
