Hi Dave Nuolney with Freescale Semiconductor. I would like to tell you a little bit about an exciting contest based on our latest development platform, The Coldfire MCF51JM128 microcontroller. This evaluation board was initially launched with the 2008 Freescale Technology forum in Orlando earlier this year where it was used as a badge for all attendees and presenters. The board features the MCF51JM128 V1 Coldfire device which is the latest edition to the Freescale Flexis family of microcontrollers. In addition this board also features an infrared transmitter, a 3 axis accelerometer, an 8 button proximity touch sensor, a lithium ion battery, and battery charging IC which supply power to the board. A bank of LEDs along with the proximity sensor offer simple and intuitive user interface for designing unique and creative applications. This board is part of a complete development kit that includes the JM badge board, a USB cable, and a DVD complete with sample example code, a quick start guide, user manual and complimentary versions of the integrated developer environments. This is really everything you need to get up and running quickly and easily. As you may know we conducted a design challenge using evaluation board at the Freescale technology forum. Each attendee had the opportunity to create a unique application. Using the board they demonstrated the creativity and ingenuity. De to the success of this contest we are now building a similar design challenge open to anyone anywhere. So, now it’s your turn. Here’s your chance to win up to 5000 dollars and a bonus prize from IR systems. To participate in this contest, here is what you going to need to do. First visit the JM badge board website at www.canyourbadegdothis.com . Then you are going to purchase a low cost badge board and begin developing your own software and application code. You can feel free to use the example code provided in the DVD as a reference. Finally you are going to submit your design to the canyourbadgedothis.com website by 4 pm Easter November 30th. Then on or around December 15th, Freescale will announce the winners. Prior to entering your design you will be prompted to agree to contest rules. Restrictions may apply in your region. So please keep note.

Please review the contest rules on the website if you need any more information. After you submit your entry, entries will be judged by a panel of Freescale and IR engineers. Each design will be judged on the basis of creativity, design efficiency, technical complexity, usefulness and total product content by Freescale. These entries that involve IR systems software will also be eligible for a bonus prize. To see examples of winning contest designs from previous contests go to the website and view the embedded youtube video clips and now for the exciting part. What are the awards? First, our grand prize winner will get US $5000. Fr first prize we will award US $2000 and for second prize we will award US$1000. And we will award one bonus prize for the IR systems solution winner and they will win a full license for IR embedded workbench for ColdFire, a Blackberry smart phone which gives you an estimated value of the bonus prize of US$6500. So let’s get started. Go to www.canyourbadgedothis.com, purchase a JM badge board and show us how creative you can be with your design. We are looking forward to receiving your submission.
